The Ravenous Tide

The Ravenous Tide

This image was made after staying on Easedale, a very small island off the west coast of mainland Scotland. It is part of the 'slate islands', and can only be accessed by a small boat which ferries passenger across the small stretch of water that seperates it from the isle of Seil. Once a focal point of the slate industry, production ceased after one particularly ferocious storm deluged the quarries.

(The image of the picture ‘in a room’ is intended to offer a general idea of scale and appearance. Any work on paper will require framing in order to be displayed.)

  • Paper size: 56 x 36 cm

    Image size: 48 x 28 cm

Ink, pastel, and charcoal on paper.
