Transpersonal Psychology (or Transpersonal Psychotherapy), refers to an approach that explores the dimensions of human experience beyond the individual ego, integrating spirituality, consciousness, and the expansion of awareness. In my own experience I have found art making and imagery to be a profound and useful way to explore these themes, and have been doing so for over 15 years.

Building upon the wisdom of Depth Psychology, Transpersonal Psychology expands our understanding of the human psyche to include the spiritual, existential, and transcendent aspects of our being. It acknowledges that the true nature of our being extends beyond the realms of the personal and collective unconscious, inviting us to explore our spiritual nature, and connection to the divine and the sacred. Transpersonal Psychology draws inspiration from various spiritual and contemplative traditions, and places emphasis upon cultivating present-moment awareness, deepening our connection to our inner selves, and exploring the nature of consciousness.

Jungian psychology provides a valuable foundation for Transpersonal Psychology, offering insights into the archetypal and symbolic dimensions of the human psyche. By exploring the collective unconscious, the transcendent function, and the integration of the shadow, we aim to embrace the integration of our personal identity with the transpersonal dimensions of our being. Through wholehearted conversation, dreamwork, imagination, and the exploration of archetypal patterns, we gain a deeper understanding of our spiritual path and interconnectedness with the broader tapestry of existence.
Art and creativity offers a means of self-expression, exploration, and spiritual inquiry. Through artistic practices, we engage with the depths of our being, tapping into the wellspring of creativity and using art as a vehicle for soulful transformation. Art-making becomes a sacred act, inviting us to express and embody our spiritual experiences, archetypal insights, and transcendent states of consciousness.

In the therapeutic work I provide, I am dedicated to creating a space for individuals to explore, and cultivate spiritual nourishment. We seek to honor the multifaceted nature of the human soul and its longing for the divine.
